LED Lighting for Xmas Event at country club

The theme of this pre-Xmas night was “luxury brands”, with this in mind we put together a lighting package with a variety of different elements. This included a mirror ball, rotating gobos, spotlighting for the band & a wealth of LED Uplighting.

We filled each window of this exclusive member’s club with a blue wash of light, & then put smaller magenta lighting around the dance area for focus. The finished result was a feast for the eye!

Topping-Out Ceremony in Belgravia

Galliford-Try asked us to provide a simple Speech PA System for their topping out ceremony on a roof top in Belgravia. It was the first rooftop event that we have attended & certainly the first time we have had to wear hard hats to install speakers!

With the restrictions on space, the only choice was a Wireless Handheld Mic for the speeches. Everything went very well – A unique experience, not to be forgotten!

Galton & Simpson in conversation at RTS lunch

The Royal Television Society asked us to provide sound for this prestigious TV veterans lunch in Mayfair. Ray Galton OBE & Alan Simpson OBE provided many great stories about their time as writers for Hancock’s Halfhour, Steptoe & Son plus many more.

We chose to use wireless lavalier mics together with four of our Discreet Loudspeakers. Judging by the thank-yous from RTS at the end of the event, we made the right choice! Many thanks to Tony & his staff from Overseas House for their help.

Society of Homeopaths at School of Pharmacy

The Society of Homeopaths asked us to provide an AV technician for duration of their event, which was held at the London School of Pharmacy. The world renowned homeopathic scholar Massimo Mangialavori was guest speaker.

We provided a Wireless Lavalier Mic for Dr Mangialavori, & two wireless handheld mics for the most frenetic Q&A sessions we have ever been involved in. We also took care of the computer & projection set up. Thanks to Graham Florence for all his support.

We had an opportunity to install a system for a press launch at the N.E.C. in Birmingham, in order to get there for 7.30 am it meant a very early start. We provided two wireless handheld mics which were used through our Speech PA system.

We also provided AV equipment for the Powerpoint presentation, including a 6ft screen & a projector. All went well & we got back to London in time for lunch.

Strictly Come Dancing at RAC Pall Mall

Darren Bennett & Lilia Kopylova from Strictly Come Dancing gave members of the RAC London a dazzling display of Latin dance for this sold out Sunday night event. We provided our Playback PA System with three handheld radio microphones.

We were asked to provide two professional CD players for playback, plus Spotlighting for the dancers & LED uplighting to set the mood. The show was a resounding success with guests joining in the dancing at the end of the evening…

Radio Production & Marketing Awards 2008

It was great fun to be part of these awards that encourage production and marketing within the radio industry. We were asked by the Radio Academy to provide sound & backline for the band Kaya who turned in a brilliant performance at the show!

We hand picked a selection of quality equipment by Fender, Eden, Yamaha & Midas. Our Q208 Monitors complemented the in-house system to produce a great event. Many thanks to Sam & Andy at Heaven for making life a bit easier.

Cobella Show at L'Oreal Academy

The top end hair & beauty specialists Cobella approached us to provide audio playback for their show at L’Oreal’s prestigious headquarters. We connected two Plasma screens to a laptop to display some of the new styles & products.

On this occasion we used a special configuration of our Qube Audio PA System plus two wireless headsets & one wireless handheld mic. Thanks goes to Lucy from Cobella & Emma from L’Oreal

Etnies Skate Jam at Harlow Skate Park

Harlow Council organised a Skate Jam in partnership with Etnies & Motel 6. The event was to celebrate the completion of the brand new Skate Park, with many professional & local skaters braving the weather to make an appearance.

We provided our Playback PA System with the addition of 2 turntables & a mixer for the DJs to keep the crowd entertained, as well as a Wireless Mic for the MC. Thanks to Chris from Harlow Council for the power & Pete from Etnies for the tents which kept our equipment safe from the elements.

Conference at MCPS-PRS Headquarters

A distinguished panel of radio producers & programmers assembled in the prestigious headquarters of PRS-MCPS to talk about the current state of UK based Urban music. The venue kindly let us use their ceiling mounted in-house PA System by Cloud.

We used five gooseneck mics for the panel together with two of our handheld radio mics for the Q&A. We recorded the session & later transferred the data via Protools to a web-ready MP3 for the Radio Academy Podcasts.

Paul Dickinson presented this press call in support of the Sports Aid charity for U.K. athletes. Betfair organised a full running track laid out across Trafalgar Square, with athletes & members of the public racing back and forth. Everyone had a lot of fun!

We used a pair of our Q208 loudspeakers together with a handheld radio mic for the speeches. We took extra care to keep all cables out of the way in this very public space. Special thanks to Joel from Trafalgar Square for helping with the power.

London Open City Debate at Somerset House

The General Public Agency is a planning consultancy dealing with public spaces. They called us to supply systems for two separate events held in conjunction with Exemplar & The Courtauld Institute of Art at the Somerset House.

We used our trusted Sennheiser Tabletop Microphones & two Wireless Mics to pass around the audience for Q&A. We installed a CD Player for background music as well as a sound feed to a Video Camera. We were pleased to hear that both of the debates went well.
