Our friends from NDL needed our help for a series of informal meetings. Their client wanted to discuss an upcoming advertising campaign, using various examples of video, powerpoint presentations and promotional imagery.

The setting was the delightful rooftop conservatory down at Ransoms Dock. We provided our ever popular Qube Audio 106 compact loudspeakers, which we placed either side of a 42 inch Plasma Screen. We plugged in the various laptops to the system, liaising with the client to ensure everything was perfect. All went as planned. Many thanks to Lauren at NDL for all her support.

We have been fortunate enough to provide the sound for all of the recent press conferences at Craven Cottage. On this occasion, it was before and after a key UEFA match. The press stand had to be constructed first before we got to install our pa system.

We set up three of our trusty Sennheiser table mics, which were split off to provide twenty separate audio feeds for the news crews, as well as being routed through our Qube 208 Loudspeakers. All went well, and more importantly Fulham won!

When we are asked to provide AV equipment, we are always happy to oblige. Especially for our friends at Waterstones Piccadilly, who were hosting their prize for best children’s author. We set up a 60″ Plasma screen to show the shortlist of books which, in turn was connected to our Apple laptop to play the prepared DVD.

We chose our Qube Audio 208 loudspeakers which are perfectly suited to the newly refurbished champagne bar on the 5th floor of Waterstone’s flagship store. Using our trusty Beyerdynamic wireless microphones on the stage, the Children’s Laureate Anthony Browne announced the winner. The prize went to Katie Davies for her book ‘The Great Hamster Massacre’. Thanks as ever to Silv and all the events team who made our life a bit easier.

The iconic Art Deco building St Olaf House, which houses the London Bridge Hospital’s consulting and administration rooms, was the venue for this conference. We had to mic up all sixteen consultants around a large boardroom table, as well as providing a roving mic for the rest of the delegates.

A job of this complexity required a customised version of our Conference PA System. We took plenty of time in the set up, making sure the room was properly eq’d to avoid feedback problems with all of those tabletop microphones. We also recorded the proceedings via our Data Recorder. For this speech at the German-British Chamber of Industry and Commerce we used two compact loudspeakers and one our ever popular Wireless Handheld Microphones by Beyer Dynamic.

The event was on the first floor of the Mecklenburg House, which is situated just across from Buckingham Palace. We worked hard to be as discreet as possible in this fine location. All went very well. Many thanks to all the staff for their help on the load in and out.

The top floor of the Waterstones flagship store was our destination for this annual sales conference. The room, reserved for private events and staff meetings, was very wide with two large doors at either side and offered quite a challenge in terms of sound coverage.

Six wireless lapel mics were requested in this tricky space, so we decided to use our flexible Presentation PA System as it has four compact speakers. This allowed us to successfully relay the various manager’s presentations clearly to all the assembled staff. Thanks to Silv and the events team for making our life easier.

Our friends at the Royal Society of Literature contacted us to provide sound in the beautiful setting of the Swedish Ambassador’s residence in London. The European Cultural Commission had invited AS Byatt, Semir Zeki and Martin Ingvar to take part in a discussion about art, emotion and science.

We took extra care with the set-up in such a dignified venue, using our
Presentation PA System together with three wireless beltpacks and our DPA4080 lapel microphones. We were happy to provide a feed for the British Library who were capturing the event. Many thanks to Mr Karl Otto and all his staff for their help.

The Spectrum Facilities Centre in Luton was the venue for this one day workshop for local business leaders, so an early trip up the M1 was in order. We installed our compact Speech PA System with a wireless handheld mic.

A request for sound playback from the presentation laptop was easy to provide, and then we were on our way back to London. Thank you to Paul Talbot who was very helpful during our time in Luton.

This prestigious firm of solicitors have been using our services for their regular presentations for the past couple of years. On this occasion they required three of our DPA lapel microphones each with a wireless bodypack.

The signal was eq’d and channelled through our Speech PA System. An early start was required, but proved no problem as our experience and expertise showed through.

We travelled up to Durham for this one-day conference hosted by NAAFI. Setting up the day before, there was a lot of rehearsal for the various video presentations to be shown. We returned first thing the next day, and after a few adjustments we were ready to go. Along side the many notable keynote speeches from the various heads of NAAFI, there was a special interview between the CEO and BBC war correspondent Jeremy Bowen followed by a Q & A at the end event.

We used our Presentation PA System in the main room where the majority of the conference took place, and a smaller rig in the second room for the launch of the NAAFI brand tea plus further presentations from Mr Bowen. There were several audio feeds provided for the film crew in both rooms, with many thanks going to Duncan from Aquaman Design for all his help.

The Department for Children, Schools and Families contacted us with regard to supplying a PA System for a conference held in their building in Westminster. We provided six tabletop microphones plus a wireless handheld mic for the Q & A. We also took an audio feed from their Plasma screen and amplified it through our PA System for the presentation.

The smart and multi-functional office space provided us a great out-of-the-way place to put the control. Even though the building itself was a real labyrinth, we navigated our way in and out without a problem thanks to the team from DCSF.

700 runners from the marketing & communications industries descended on Regents Park for this 5K charity run. We were asked to provide a playback system with the addition of a wireless headset mic for the fitness instructor whose job it was to warm up the runners before the start of the race and help them wind down afterwards.

The Q208 speakers together with the QS112 Subs were placed at the top of a small hill allowing us to give the right amount of audio coverage to the runners below and proved to be the perfect choice for this outdoor event. Thanks goes to the Hub Cafe in Regents Park for their help.
