- Cannons Presentation at Ravens Ait
- This event broke new ground for us as it was the first time we had to use a boat to deliver our equipment! Canonns Health Clubs held a two day event on an island in the Thames that is run by a company called Ravens Ait. All the staff there were extremly helpful & made our install a lot easier. We used our Presentation PA System so we could get good coverage with our Lavalier Mics. We took an audio feed from the Powerpoint Presentation & ran it through our PA System.
- Steve Cram gives Marathon tips at Excel
- We received a call from Reebok asking for a system. They had a stand at the London Marathon Exhibition held at the ExCel centre. Steve Cram was going to give advice to runners in the upcoming Marathon & answer their questions. We used our Speech PA System with the addition of our Trilite Lectern & a Gooseneck Mic, which fulfilled requirements perfectly. A handheld Radio Mic was kept in reserve for the Q&A but was not required. Best of luck to all the runners who took part....
- Humphrey Lyttelton wows the crowd
- This event was a real privilege with Humph (R.I.P) & his band captivating the audience on this Sunday night event. We used our Showcase PA System with a pair of Monitors for the band. It needed a delicate balance between all those mics in a small stage area with band members swapping brass instruments every number! We made sure Humph's brilliant stories were heard with one of our Beyer handheld Radio Mics. We also provided two Led Uplighters & Stage Lighting.
- Lawson vs. Mayo in interview masterclass
- For this Radio Academy event at the Orchid club in London we got to work with radio & tv personalities Mark Lawson & Simon Mayo. The session was about interviews, with both Mark & Simon taking it turn to ask the questions & to answer them with chairman Trevor Dann making sure it didn't go too far!! As well as running the Sound & Lighting we also Recorded The Event for a Podcast. Special thanks goes to Ed from Orchid who helped make things run very smoothly!!!
- Art Gallery memorial requires discretion
- Marlborough Fine Arts asked us to provide Sound coverage & Lighting for a memorial event. We used our Presentation PA System to relay the speeches throughout the gallery as well as giving reinforcement to the David Gordon Trio who admirably performed a tasteful musical backdrop. Our compact & stylish Q106 Speakers we're just the right look for such a sensitive event. We we're also asked to Record The Event & transfer the results to CD as a memento of the day.
- Comedy Store event raises the roof
- One of our regular events & always a pleasure! We used our Presentation PA System as there can be up to 150 people at this dinner event. We also used our professional Stage Lighting. The comedians only required a couple of Mics & somewhere to plug in a guitar, however the cabling had to cover a great distance so we spent most of our time making sure everything was secure. We left the system with the Comedy Store's in-house engineer Simon who ran the show.
- Conference Call in Square Mile of London
- We received a call late on Friday night from city law firm Sidley Austin. A large board meeting was taking place and there were fears that people at the back may not be able to hear. We arrived at 7am on Monday & installed our Speech PA System. A Radio Lapel Mic was used for the various board members & a Wireless hand held Microphone was passed around the room for Q&A. Installation took us less than an hour & we were back to collect the equipment after lunch...
