Events - Highlights from our recent Corporate Sound & Lighting Events
- Conference at MCPS-PRS

- A distinguished panel of radio producers & programmers assembled in the prestigious headquarters of PRS-MCPS to talk about the current state of UK based Urban music. The venue kindly let us use their ceiling mounted in-house PA System by Cloud. We used five gooseneck mics for the panel together with two of our handheld radio mics for the Q&A. We recorded the session & later transferred the data via Protools to a web-ready MP3 for the Radio Academy Podcasts.
- Entities Skate Jam at Harlow Skate Park

- Harlow Council organised a Skate Jam in partnership with Etnies & Motel 6. The event was to celebrate the completion of the new Skate Park, with many professional & local skaters making an appearance. We provided our Showcase PA System with the addition of 2 turntables & a mixer for the DJs to keep the crowd entertained, as well as a Wireless Mic for the MC. Thanks to Chris from Harlow Council for the power & Pete from Entities for the tents which kept our equipment safe from the elements.
- Sports Aid in Trafalgar Square

- Paul Dickinson presented this press call in support of the Sports Aid charity for U.K. athletes. Betfair organised a full running track laid out across Trafalgar Square, with athletes & members of the public racing back and forth. We used a pair of our Q208 loud speakers together with a handheld radio mic for the speeches. We took extra care to keep all cables out of the way in this very public space. Special thanks to Joel from Trafalgar Square for helping with the power.
- London Open City Debate

- The General Public Agency is a planning consultancy dealing with public spaces. They called us to supply systems for two seperate events held in conjunction with Exemplar & The Courtauld Institute of Art. We used our trusted Sennheiser Table-top Microphones & two Wireless Mics to pass around the audience for Q&A. We installed a CD Player for background music as well as a sound feed to a Video Camera. We were pleased to hear that both of the debates went well.
- Recording for Health Advisory Board

- The Royal College of Physicians was our destination as Silver Fern Research needed an Audio Record of a board meeting. Arriving bright & early, we set up our Data Recorder with a pair of Audio Technica Boundary Microphones discreetly positioned in the center of the tables. The recording was in two sessions, so we returned at lunch to check & swap disks. It took a lot of number-crunching to process seven hours of audio, but as the client agreed, the results were well worth it.
- The Art of Sports Commentary Masterclass

- This Radio Academy seminar held at the Cricketers Club of London was a rare chance to learn from the best about Sports Commentary. Some fascinating insights & hilarious anecdotes were shared by panelists Jim Proudfoot, Simon Brotherton & Alan Green. We supplemented the venue's existing PA System with four Panel Mics, two Wireless Mics, a CD Player, our Graphic Eq & Automixer. We also recorded the event & converted it to an MP3 for the regular Podcast...
